We have U Maung Maung Aye from Too Myaung village as an active representative as well as a volunteer to come over to Pyapon before our arrival on Saturday morning 12th July. He must have checked the useful tractors for the village as he is also a good farmer who used to own a tractor himself for his rice field. We took a taxi from Dalla, the other bank of Yangon and reached to Pyapon at 10.30 am. From our meeting point in Pyapon, we went to the tractor store and checked if everything physically from our sight is OK and discussed "advantage and disadvantage" of the tractors' brand. After agreement, we took two pieces from the store which our farmer has thoroughly checked and approved that they are good use in accordance with their geography and soil.We have to bring piece by piece from the store to the pier. Piled up ashore, we moved into a boat that lead us to the village. It has taken best part of 2.30 hours to and from store, again to and from pier to the boat. Our boat was set off, with its full stuffs at 13.00 pm. It's an overcast day, muddy. We shouted that of our arrival when we entered the creek. We were responded "hails" as we were expected. It is already 14.30 pm. Villagers, young and old are very cooperative. We spotted a little bit for what we were going to do next. School kids must have been waiting for us. And they should be back home by any minutes. We were in a hurry. Reporting to the chief monk of the village monastery, we moved to school area to see our kids if they were doing well. And to see if the school is back into its fresh and yound look. We have painted last week, the school wall, rooms and doors.
We have set chairs and tables from grade one to five. Kids exictment has been added with books and some snacks when the heavy rain poured down. The tracters will be used as village properties, sharing works for over 600 arce of the village in tilling time. 50% less in actual cost for personal usage will be used in the maintaince. It doesn't need to have money to use it for the village. But those who can afford after the harvest, must reimburse for maintaince in accordance with how much arce they have tilled. So it goes. We explained that this can lead to a development and a fund for village in later years. Thoughtful villagers accepted. Finally we checked the water tank which is complete for use built aside monastery because it's the only main building which holds spacious, vast roof area that fetch rain in big amount to carry and drain into the tank. It is now a kind of reservior back up, as they have 2 natural ponds and villagers use earthen pots to store water individually in every rain season.
We reached back to Pyapon in 18.25 pm.
